The Order of Charity Sisters began its activity in 1842 in Satu Mare. The girls were educated abroad, where they received religious education. The tasks of the order were kept, but they also became an educational order. In the Baia Sprie they opened a Roman Catholic girls 'school and separately a boys' school. Between 1887 and 1890 this girls' school was built where it existed and boarded for students. There was a cross on the tower of the building. Until 1948 the institution was run by charitable sisters. After that a school worked here, but the building deteriorated. Today it is unused.
