Map of Şugătag: Wooden church

Șugatag wooden village church was built in 1642 on the foundation of an older church. The plane of the ship is rectangular and the apse polygonal. The church has a shingle roof and double eaves. The bell tower has a gallery and a pointed helmet. The rope motif surrounds the church.
This reason also appears on the door frame. The vault of the nave is semi-cylindrical, and of the right pronaos. The painting made around 1753 is kept fragmentary in the nave and the altar. The iconostasis is covered with icons, among which a few made by the painter Gheorghe Vișovan.
The royal doors are lace, the sponges of plants surround the 6 medallions carved with the face of the evangelists, an angel and the Virgin Mary.
