Fericet Village is 3 km away from Horea. In this village was born one of the leaders of the peasant revolt in Transylvania, Horea (Vasile Nicola Ursu) (1731-1785). At the edge of the village is the memorial house, a wooden cottage, where a small museum was set up.
The house where Horea was born only exists, there was built in 1934 an obelisk, which can be read with the year of birth (1730), the year when it was captured (1784), and the year when it was pulled on the wheel (1785) . The Obelisk was unveiled in 1934, and the bust of Horea, in front of the museum, made by the sculptor Romulus Ladea in 1967. Near the memorial house there is an old ash, which is said to have been planted by Horea itself. In any case, Horea's Feast has remained in history like Gorunul lui Horea from Tebea.
