Turda town located south of Cluj-Napoca, has been inhabited since ancient times. Between 100 and 271 in the old settlement was Potaissa Roman administration. The history of the village was closely linked to salt water. Exploiting this deposit was started in Roman times and around 1853 the city became the center of all the salt mines in Transylvania, based in Salt Office current museum building. Between 1320 and 1576, 128 Dias of Transylvania were held in Turda. During the Kingdom of Hungary was Turda County resident and 1876 Torda-Aranyos County resident. Between 1925 and 1950 he was the residence of the Turda county. Let's see the history of the city in chronological order

1241 - The Tartars burned the city
1271 - The First Saline Document

1288 - the first gathering of the Transylvanian nobility.
1289 - King IV. László donates the Szeklers to the Aries estate, laying the seat of the Aries.
1311-1340 - Catholics build in Turda Noua the present Reformed church.
XVth century - The Augustinian Order builds the current reformed church in Turda Veche.
1568 - In the Catholic Church Diet proclaims for the first time in Europe the religious freedom of four cults.
In 1589 the Unitarian Gymnasium was established.
1601 - Mihai Viteazul is killed near Turda
1614 Bethlen Gábor donates for the șovagăi uninhabited town, so restarting salt mining.
1665 The Alba Iulia diet offers the city of Turda and Dej the title of noble city.
1796 - novelist Jósika Miklós is born
1781 - The Iozephic Edict of Tolerance granted religious freedom to the Orthodox
1828 - Dr. Ioan Rațiu is born
1839 - the Greek-Catholic Church of the Ratiu family is being built
1848 - Turda center of noble reaction
1880 - The beer factory is being built
1918 - Turda becomes the seat of the Turda county
1921 - Being the Glass Factory
