Map of Băiţa: Fanate cave
The Fanate cave's description was made in 1774 in Wien. The cave is situated in the left side of Bulz streamlet, at 560m elevation. It consists of a single large channel. It is a dry cave, but unfortunately the creatures in it were ruined.
After the large entrance (9x4m) we get into the big hall, where the channel starts. The space dilates and narrows down alternatively, the height of the channel is 3-25m. The channel is 270m long, narrows down towards the end and becomes twisted. The old descriptions present it as a nicely ornamented cave.
