Map of Baba: Babei gorge
Babei Gorges are located between Baba and Poiana Blenchii, 1 km long. the valley is crossed by the Poienii brook, or Babei Valley, the right tributary of the Somes river. The layered limestone walls have a height of 70-80 meters. The eastern slope is rocky.
In 1977 it became a protected area. In the second half of the 20th century there were 51 lime kilns in the area.
