The Cups is dated to 1584. According to the legend, it was founded by the Kupsa brothers. In 1598 he belonged to the domain of Dej. Now in the village there are two wooden churches and nearby mountain rises Satra (1041), which was hidden several times legendary outlaw Pintea Viteazu
