Map of Rogoz

The village is attested since 1488, being the estate of the Bánffy family. List noblemen who followed highlighted Mikes family, whose estate was in the mid eighteenth century until the late nineteenth century. It is one of the localities where the faithful kept two wooden churches more than 100 years old.
