Map of Sălaţig: The lake

Accumulation lake from Sălațig made in 1982 on Mineu valey. Was projected for flood mitigation and for supply with drinking water of surrounding localities. Lake is suitable for practice of fishing, being populated with carp, perch and ton.
For water retention was built a dam of 265 m lenght and of 11 m height. This can retain a volume of 3.4 mil mc of water. A lake of 70 ha can be formed. In these conditions the lake length can reach 2 km. Its banks are suitable for camping.
