Bezidu Nou, hidden among the hills of the valley Cusmed numbered 700 souls in 1910 still lived together here in peace inhabitants of different religions: Roman Catholic, Unitarian, Greek Catholics and sabatiști Transylvania. Once the area was flooded people were forced to abandon their life before and move most Sângeorgiu the Forest. Only 21 people and 12 houses remained, the rest was swallowed by water. In 1995, Sükösd Árpád in Vienna, one of the descendants of the former inhabitants, built a monument on the outskirts of the village representing a collapsed wall. The last sentence of the inscription reads: "Let this place be the symbol of peace between religions." In the memorial park, the streets of the former locality are outlined by numerous funerary pillars. Through a huge collective effort, instead of the Catholic church demolished in 2014, in the near future an ecumenical church will be built that will represent all the religions once present in Bezidu Nou. On the first Saturday of August each year, the former inhabitants of the village gather in the village of funerary pillars and in front of the wall of mourning, looking with tears in their eyes at the lake.
