Map of Cuşmed
The locality Cușmed, located in the valley of the same name guarded by high mountains, is attested from 1332. The first inhabitants were Szeklers who were engaged in deforestation. However, we do not find here the famous Szekler gates, but only small carved doors. The 14th century church has been beautifully preserved by the parishioners.
