It is worth stopping a little in front of the sandstone wall that can be seen on the left side of the road, close to the fork towards Firtănuș. The interesting formations were brought to the surface by the action of erosion forces on the conglomerates formed on the seabed of the past.
The continuous action of water and wind, frost and thawing also played an important role. The best known specimens of this genesis are the Sphinx from Bucegi and the columns from Dragons garden. It is only a matter of time before the bands from Firtănuș become as well known.
