Map of Păltiniş: Creek Rez

The name of the Réz brook, meaning Copper, comes from the yellowish pebbles in the riverbed. The valley in the western part of the village is filled with water only during heavy rains. One of the springs in the riverbed has been arranged, a concrete ring being erected around it, and now it provides part of the water needs of the village.
If we follow the riverbed upwards we reach the sand and gravel quarry of the locality. In the past, people used to transport material for construction from here.
