Săncel is a small settlement located 12 km from Lupeni. Until 1962, there was a lumber mill here that connected the town to the area's economy. The altitude of 1000m of the village offers a beautiful view.
Cows graze on mountain pastures, the houses are far from neighbors. City has a small wooden Catholic church. Everything is calm and peaceful, summer is a pleasure to stay here, but winter's cold. The Feernic brook springs on this volcanic plateau. Spring daffodils meadows attract many people, but Carbunarilor work is a real curiosity.
