If we move from the Kalonda plateau to Săncel, we quickly reach the bocce area, where we almost always meet coal miners. They are careful not to light the balls that contain one hundred cubic meters of logs. The bowl is covered with hay and earth, and the fire is ignited through the base cavity, after which it is blocked. The smoke comes out through the holes created laterally. In two weeks the logs carbonize. After removing the soil layer, the smoldering coal is placed in an iron tank. After cooling it is packaged and can be bought at gas stations.
