Map of Axente Sever: Evangelical fortified church

The Axente Sever village, more than 700 years old, provided archaeologists with vestiges from the Bronze Age and the Roman period. The name of the village comes from the village Axente Ioan, named "Sever", a great patriot, participant in the 1848-49 revolution. Next, the name of the locality was Frauendorf or the village of women, after a Catholic nuns church that exists here.
The fortified evangelical church of Axente Sever was built in the fourteenth century of stone quarry. It is a quaint church room with a ribbed vault that closes in a rosette. The fortress, named after the locals, has a defense tower, with draw-off niches and a defensive wall, reinforced with strong blocks, over which there are "fuel pipes". On the outside of the church, on the western side, four councils are seen. On the surrounding wall was the guard road, asked to rise above the warehouses arranged for supplies.
At present, some museums have been set up in some dormitories, and in the other hostels.
