Map of Tăuţii de Sus
Tautii de Sus was certified in 1336. At that time the family estate was Geroda. In 1408 it was the property of the asylum house in Baia Mare. In 1605 the evangelical church looks after the territory. In 1684 it is occupied by the Turks, and in 1687 it became a minority. At the end of the 17th century the village was renowned for its cream cheese.
