The current church of Magureni was built between 1893-1895 by Greek-Catholic believers, instead of a former wooden church headed to Groape. There is nothing left of that church. The present church was built of limestone, which gave many headaches believers.
The interior has been invaded by mold, dyed paintings, books, textiles, so 2013 began a program of church restoration, which includes the creation of drainage, and the complete interior restoration, which also means the transition from the Greek- Catholic to the Byzantine one.
