The Russian village built on the former medieval domain of the royal city of Baia Mare was erected instead of a wooden church built in the eighteenth century, and painted by the youngest Stephen.
Current church architecture was inspired by both Greek Catholic churches. In the construction of the church in the village there were just over 400 faithful, all Greek Catholics. A period church was covered with plant stems, only the years 1876-1881 the ship was covered with shingle and sheet metal tower.
In 1906 it was covered with blackboard. The iconostasis was painted between 1850-1851 by the painter Mezey József, who painted the Roman Catholic Cathedral in Baia Mare. Mural paintings and cross-paintings were made by Kádár Géza.
Between 1932-1948, the two spaces were built next to the tower. The church is equipped with 4 bells, of which the oldest, the bell of the dead, was cast in 1492. The church is on the UNESCO lists and is used by Greek Catholics and Orthodox believers.
