Map of Târgu Lăpuş
Targu Lapus is a town attested in 1291. In XIV century the area was mined gold. From the 17th century until the Second World War it was a district residence, a manufacturing center and fairs, where they came from everywhere, from Bucovina to Galicia. In 1854 it opened the first pharmacy, and in 1968 the city.
