The wooden church of Culcea was built in 1720. The place is rectangular and is covered with shingle. The rectangular tower at the bottom and rounded to the top has a turquoise turret. The interior painting made directly on the wood was destroyed because of the uneven roof on time. That is why much of the vault was changed during the restoration works.
Only one scene, on the northern wall of the nave, has been preserved on a blue background. In the altar there is a representation of the sun, with large rays, separated by a smaller sun.
A cheek surrounded by 16 wings is seen on the altar vault, another image more rarely seen in other churches. Table altar was carried out in two blocks of stone, the one leg and the other as a countertop.
