Măgherăuș Tăuții is a proven settlement from 1440. It belonged to the Seini domain, later became the property of the Móricz family. They were followed by the Báthori, Bethlen and Rákóczi families. Since 1711, Károlyi Sándor's grove has been the largest town's manor. The present village emerged from the merging in 1906 of the two villages villages Măgherăuș or Tăuții de Sus and Tăuții de Jos. Unlike other localities here, the streets have numbers, and the name pods. Besides the memorial house of the famous son of the locality, the writer and the printer Misztótfalusi Kis Miklós, visitors can see other tourist attractions.
