Map of Răstolţ: Wooden church
The wooden church from Răstolț was built in 1840 when the old church was moved at Poarta Sălajului. Only two icons and church books were kept exposed in the actual church. In the interior the pro-nave's ceiling has a straight ceiling and the nave a vaulted one.
The Christians kept for a long period the original image, but in XX century the renovation of the sanctuary took place.
With this occasion the church's walls were daubed in exterior and interior hiding the original painting. The roof and belfry tower with turret were covered with iron and the interior received a new painting. In present the Christians use the new church nearby the old one.
