The wooden church from Ciula was built by some in 1707 and in 1800 by others, it is on the west side of the village placed on the Someș valley. It is the first church built by the village's Greco Catholics. It is made of wood on a stone foundation and covered with iron.
Initially only the tower was covered with iron but with the occasion of renovation works in 1967 when the electricity was done as well the walls were daubed and painted and the roof was changed from shingle to iron.
