Map of Prodăneşti: Wooden church

The wooden church from Prodănești was built in 1730. Its very reduced dimensions, 8,5X3,5, situates it among the smallest wooden church from Sălaj. It is covered with shingle and the entrance decoration frame is decorated with rope's motif. The bottom side of the decoration frame of the passing from pronave to nave is decorated with extended composition of pasteled rosettes and rhombs. Unfortunately the interior painting was destroyed. Only here and there spots of color which remained on walls can be distinguished. On the iconostasis the painting resisted up better to the bad weather but it is covered with towels an icons. The church was renovated in 1939 and restored in 1999-2005 when it was moved on the present place.
