Map of Şimleu Silvaniei: Bic monastery wooden church

At a 3 km distance from Șimleu Silvaniei, inside monastery Bic since1997 there is the wooden church from Stâna, Sălaj County. It is placed in the middle of a garden with flowers and is neat by the monastery's nuns. Built in 1778 it has a rectangular plan with nave and pronave.
The roof is of shingle and the belfry is short with turret with arches and a sharp spire. On one side along the wall there is a porch with arches fastened with wooden pegs. The entrance door's decoration frame is decorated with rope's motifs and other carved shapes.
The church interior was painted in 1795 by the much known painter from Românași Ioan Pop helped by Precup Pop, unprecedented in other churches. Unfortunately the painting is present only in the nave but it is quite destroyed. On the old bell year 1799 appears.
