Map of Solomon: Wooden church
The wooden church from Solomon is placed on the highest hills as a watching point from the valley over the village. Taking the construction system into consideration it can be said that it was built at the end of XVIII century replacing the one certified in documents since 1760-1762.
The church's decoration with painting in 1845 is specified in the altar. The name of the painter doesn't appear but we can identify Iosif Perșa after the specific features of his art. In the pronave the Parable of the tenth maidens can be identified.
On both sides of the passing through the nave Saints Petru and Pavel are guarding.
On the nave arch there are painted scenes from Jesus life. On the iconostasis can be seen the Apostles with the Saviour in a row. The construction of the new building in the locality did not mean its distruction.
