Map of Turbuţa: Wooden church

The wooden church from Turbuța was built in around XVII-XVIII centuries. It has rectangular plan with a square apse. The porch's roof is based on wooden pillars and over the roof a high tower with spire is raising. The interior of the church was painted in 1816.
On the wall of the altar there is a date which gave birth to many discussions in what regards the date of construction. Some considered it even the date of construction. From the old painting were kept in the pronave only the figures of the maidens and the prude women.
On the nave's arch can be seen the faces of the martyrs and scenes of Saviour's life.
The Lord's Supper is on the north wall of the altar. The painter used pastel colors and the texts are written in Latin, Romanian and Hungarian. All this characteristics indicate the authors - painters Lazăr Tocaciu and Biró Lajos from Orghiz. In 1972 the construction was presenting a dangerous tilt. The restoration lead to board coverage of the decoration frame.
