Map of Vădurele: Wooden church

The wooden church from Vădurele was probably built in XVII century because an inscription on a beam specified the year of church's pavement: 1708. It is a rectangular construction with polygonal apse, with dimensions 10x5 m. The ex- terior walls are decorated with rope motif.
In the altar wall a rosette-shaped skylight and a wooden system in which the entrance door is moving are worthy to be seen. The nave entrance is through a pas- sing with deepened threshold. The interior painting made in 1832 by Rus Macavei suffered very much because of the rains.
In the pronave only tracks of paintings can be seen. On the nave vault is illustrated the life of Jesus, Maria and the Evangelists. On the wall above the nave entrance appears the scene Adam and Eve. In 1939 the shingle roof was changed with an iron one. For some years everybody is dreaming at its restoration, but the lack of money says it all. After a short while a new church will be made and what will happen then with this little church?
