DN57 is a national road that winds along the Danube and links Orsova to Moravița. After Orsova follows the most spectacular part of the route: the Small Boilers and the Big Boilers of the Danube, the area where the Danube crosses the Banat Mountains and reaches the narrowest section on the Romanian territory at only 180m. After Eselnita, we reach the bridge over the bay Mraconia, where we catch the eye rock Decebal's image. The area is also recognized by parked cars and small merchant stalls. After a few meters, the Mraconia monastery appears.
We leave the key area and get to the Mari Cazanele and Dubova. After an area where the road moves away from the Danube and passes through several curves, it returns to the Danube. At Șvinița there are the remains of three towers in water, the ruins of Dranko in Drencova, and before the Coronini, on the Serbian bank of the Danube can be seen the city of Golubac. The road to Moravița is full of tourist attractions, which you can access from the DN57 road map.
