The settlement registered in 1733 is characterized by ozone-rich air and crystal-clear waters. Its rich history manifests itself in the everyday life. Three of its streets bear the name of Horea, Closca and Crisan, the leaders of the peasant uprising (1784-1785.) Remnants of the old Horea church are preserved in the village church, not to mention the bell, which sounded the call for war. The ethnography museum houses the figures of Avram Iancu, Horea, Cloșca and Crișan. Ten thousands of tourists visit the place each year, leaving with a pleasant memory of the beautiful scenery and the hospitality of their hosts.
