Map of Vidra: Wooden church Goieşti
The wooden church in Goiești is a worship establishment built in the XVII century (1712), according to a simple plan, with a rectangular naos and pronaos, and a polygonal apse, unhooked in 5 sides.
While the naos and altar have been covered by a semi cylindrical arch, the pronaos was roofed, an imposing spired tower rising over it.
The interior painting, accomplished in 1791, as recorded on the arch of the naos, was attributed to Simion Silaghi from Abrud, alongside the royal icons of the iconostasis dating from 1790 and the wooden chandelier from the following year.
