Lake Vida is situated in the vicinity of Luncasprie village. It is a storage lake, which expanded itself on the confluence between Vida and its left affluent Toplița.
Stopping the water flow with dam was achieved in 1967.
The dam made up of local rock dyke has a height of 10 m, the length of the crest is 70 m, and is not carriageable. Thus the accretion of a bulk consisting of 0.4 million steres turned out possible.
On a surface of 6 hectares lays the forest mirrored, conferring it a wonderful color, depending on the season. The funnel overflow is the curiosity of the lake. There is a forest road on the 2 km long lake shore.
