Map of Albioara gorge: Vacii cave
The Vacii cave is located in the Pădurea Craiului Mountains, on the right side of the Albioara Gorges. It is a cave known and used by locals as a shelter from ancient times.
It is a fossil cave, it was charted in 1982, on a length of 138 m. After the entrance, which is about 40 m above the riverbank and has the dimensions of 27x13 m, a large hall (40x20 m) follows and a height of 12 m. from this room are set on two galleries: one that ends in a room of 13 x 5 m, and the other, bottom, which can reach the bottom surface of sinkholes, Hârtopul Simioanii.
