Map of Remetea: Reformed Church

The Reformed Church of Remetea was built between the 14th-15th centuries in a Gothic style and it is architectural monument of national value. It host many valuable mural paitings, both in the aisle, the quire and on the ground level of the steeple.
The paiting of the Saint Apostles, The Holy Kings of Hungary, or Saint Ladisla s legend are only a few a these, daiting back tho the 1400 s or the beginning of the XV th century.
The paintings on the ground level of the steeple re as the mid 15 th century and have a byzantine style. Due to succesive restorations, the paintings were covered in plaster, but the year 1927 brought them back to light, the process being continued starting in 2002.
