On the territory bordered by Beliu, Tinca and Lazuri, a former domain of the Oradea Episcopate, thousands of oak forests were sown from acorns. The Gurbediu locality, repopulated in the 18th century, owned 2,500 forest pogons (1437 ha), of which 305 ha were preserved, being one of the oldest forests in the Criș-Mureș area
It is part of the Mureș Meadow Natural Park, which was set up to protect the nearly 6,000 hectares of compact forest formed in the lower meadow of Mureș.
