Map of Simand: Şimand

Simand Transylvanian settlement at what the through-passengers stop to see the Urban castle. It was built in the first part of the XIX century in neo-classical style with a single stage and in rectangular plane. The front terrace as well as the one from its back are supported by columns having Dorical endings. The castle is surrounded by a park.
The Orthodox Church is from the middle of the XVIII century and it was rebuilt in the XIX century in baroque style. In the interior there are Byzantine icons from 1759. In the first half of the XIX century it was temporary bishop cathedral.
