Map of Scrind-Frăsinet: Scrind-Frăsinet Lake

Scrind-Frăsinet lake lies north of the town Scrind-Frăsinet. It stretches over two valleys, Săcuieu and Mărgăuța, with an area of 12.8 ha. Dam from local materials, 20.5 m high and 150 m long, ensures retention of 0.7 million cubic meters of water. The accumulation here is part of the Dragan hydropower system. With the pumping station, the water accumulated here is pumped to a height up to Racad.
From here the water flows gravitationally, along with the other tributaries until the Dragan accumulation. The spill site is near the dam. When the pumps work, a powerful jet of water jets, and when it does not work then the water flows to the lake.
