5 km from Breaza, one can see the ruins of a Middle Age fortress with 2 towers. The Northern wall is 2,2 m, its diameter is 2,5 m. The other tower is more difficult to recognize, its outside form is round, the inside is an irregular hexagon. It was built in the XIII century, its height reaches 2 meters at places. The fortress was abandoned in the XV century. Some say it was the fortress of Negru-Vodă. At the same place, they found the remains of a Dacian fortress from the I century b. Ch.
