Map of Făgăraş mountains: Negoiu cottage - Cleopatra saddle

The blue triangle route starts at the crossroads of the roads near the cabin to the left. At first, we pass through a wooded area, crossed by numerous rocks over which we pass through 9 footpaths, that portion being called the "Drumul Zmeilor". Coming out of the woods follows an ascent to the Sărății valley. From here we cross the Sărății valley, and we climb up the storm to the springs of a burn. After 1 3/4 hour we arrive at Piatra Prânzului, from where it starts:
Our road to the main ridge takes us through fallen rocks. We soon reach a rocky forest. Peștera de sub Vârful Negoiu, 2258m is 150m away on the left. This cave is 17m long and its floor is always covered with a layer of ice. The dizzy height of Sărății offers us a view on such famous rocks as Arcul Cleopatrei, Foarfeca, etc. One more ascent and we find ourselves in Cleopatra saddle.
