Map of Făgăraş mountains: Lerescu Mic saddle- Zârnei saddle
Trail red streak that coming from Plaiul Foii, at Lerescului saddle (1690m) descends, along the ridge towards Comisului saddle. Soon there will be a spring on the right side of the road, one lodge and two trails start from here
We continue on to the Curcuma of Luties, bypass the Berevoescu Mare peak (2300m), and to the right is a refuge Salvamont (2190m). The direction of the refuge arrives:
We do not go down to the haven, only when we need, we turn right below Berevoescu Mare peak, and then we turn around, all the peaks of the main ridge, so we reach the Curmătura Vladului (2182m).
Soon we get to Curmătura Bratiței, where there is a refuge and where the trails leave:
Then we go around a swampy area surrounding lake Bratila and we climb on a winding close to Vârful Ludișoru (2302 m). We descend into Șaua Ludișorului, 2200m, we cross Muntele Fața Unsă and descend on a wide winding road to Curmătura Zârnei. Here we find several lakes, two refuges, and many trails
