Map of Retezat mountains: Câmpuşel - under Piatra Iorgovanului peak

The route starts from Câmpusel forest canton (1130m), climbs to the left by the walls of La Table and after 1,5 km it reaches a clearing, from where the hunting house Câpușel is 200 m away. We continue the road on a serpentine, then bypass a creeping brook, and we engage on the summit.
Near the forest is the currant of the Gouroanelor valley (1605 m). From here we climb on the foot of Pietrei Iorgovanului.
After a climb over the hull, we reach the upper basin of the Găuroane valley. From here, the trail gradually departs, reaching the main ridge in the saddle of the Stănuleții Mici (1,900 m), which forms the Piatra Iorgovanului. Here we come across the following trails.
