Hartă Vima Mare: Biserica ortodoxă

Biserica ortodoxă a localității Vima Mare a fost construită în anul 1901 de credincioșii greco-catolici, înlocuind o biserică de lemn, cunoscută drept biserica "de jos" care a fost dusă în Măleni (Sălaj). Odată cu venirea la putere a comuniștilor și această biserică a devenit biserică ortodoxă.
În anii 70 a fost refăcut exteriorul și interiorul. Iconostasul este realizat din icoane, ușile împărătești sunt pline, decorate cu vrejuri și medalioane ovale pictate. Ambele biserici de zid din localitate au fost re-pictate între anii 1971-74 de pictorul Mihon Tiberiu.
În interior frumos se contopesc caracteristicile celor două religii. A fost păstrat și amvonul.
