Map of Suciu de Jos: Greek catholic church

In Suciu de Jos since the eighteenth century there were two parishes, Greek Catholic and Orthodox, in a place where the believers were almost equal. The monograph Szolnok Doboka even speaks about the Orthodox church raised without approval and closed.
It is certain that there were two wooden churches, the Orthodox in 1810 arrived at Boiereni. Two church churches were then built.
The Greek-Catholic was built in 1876 and the Orthodox in 1886. The ancient documents of the 19th century as well as the tower bells show that this church was built by Greek Catholics. After the Communists passed to the Orthodox in 2015, he returned to the rightful owners.
Orthodox themselves demolished the old church with dampness and built a new church in the village.
