Hartă Suciu de Jos: Biserica greco-catolică
În Suciu de Jos încă din secolul al XVII-lea au existat două parohii, greco-catolică și ortodoxă, într-o localitate în care numărul credincioșilor era aproape la egalitate. Monografia Szolnok Doboka vorbește chiar despre biserica ortodocșilor ridicată fără aprobare și închisă.
Cert este că au existat două biserici de lemn, cea ortodoxă în 1810 a ajuns la Boiereni. Pe urmă au fost construite două biserici de zid.
Cea greco-catolică a fost ridicată în 1876 și cea ortodoxă în 1886. Documentele vechi din secolul XIX precum și clopotele din turn atestă că această biserică a fost construită de greco-catolici. După ce în timpul comuniștilor a trecut la ortodocși în anul 2015 a revenit proprietarilor de drept.
Ortodocșii la rândul lor au demolat biserica veche cu probleme de igrasie și ridică o biserică nouă în centrul localității.
