Atid locality is attested since 1566. In 1591 it belongs to Odorheiu Secuiesc. Following the fire of 1729, 110 inhabitants were left homeless and many documents of historical value, including school documents, were burned by flames. As in the past, the inhabitants are engaged in animal husbandry and agriculture. Cherry, apple and plum orchards bear fruit in these lands. The 400-year-old school is named after Jósika Miklós, who joined the army at Atid.
