Map of Corund: Handicrafts

Corund is famous far-famed for its famous crafts firstly for its ceramics but for burnery as well. Coround waits for through-passenger with permanent unloading sale where the tourists may select from the crocks, dishes or objects made of alabaster or funk made by the habitant craftsman. The XVIth century Unitarian church of the settlement keeps gothical features, its cemetery's headboards are real masterpieces.
The Helix Hill is near the Praid - Corund public road. We have to thank for the colored, agleam aragonite rocks to the calciferous fountain what springs from the depth. The carbon dioxide springing at times from the clefts of the rocks is the origin of curious noises. The aragonite lavishes in white, turquoise, green, yellow, purple-blue, grey, purplish and black colors. In the historical and ethnographical section of the village-museum there are different objects and a significant ceramics collection.
