The idea of the museum has preoccupied many. The first collection exhibited in 1946 in the former notary's office was taken by the city's museums. In the 1960s, Professor Tófalvi Zoltán and his students set up a Corund room in the school that housed the museum, which opened in 1975.
Today, hundreds of exhibits can be seen here: ceramic pots, painted furniture, ornaments, wool and hemp processing tools. Although the house wall says that here lived and worked from 1919 to 1955 Rebeka first certified midwife Corund building it is much older. In 1978, a Szekler gate built in 1899 was brought from Asia and erected in front of the house.
