The education of the children from Eremitu began in 1763. The school building, built in 1891 can still be seen today. At that time it had 4 classrooms connected by a corridor and a desk. The walls were thick and the corridor vaulted. The teaching staff was composed of 5 people until 1918.
Over the years, the school has undergone a series of reforms. In the summer of 1999 it was named after the chemist Dr. Nyulas Ferenc. It is worth noting that he published his first book of chemistry in Hungarian, being one of the makers of chemical terminology in Hungarian.
