Map of Fântânele: Reformed church

On the tower with turrets and buttresses of the medieval church in the center of Fântânele, you can still see the openings, which remind us of the troubled history of the area. Below the ogival entrance of the tower, we reach the blue-dominated interior of the church.
The western part of the ceiling is adorned with star-shaped blue boxes made in 1782 and the eastern part of colored boxes made in 1625. Here we see the emblem with snake Bethlens letters SB referring to Zsófia patron Bethlen work. The original murals were discovered in 1982.
One of them depicts Saint George with the dragon, the other Christ resurrecting from the grave. The church organ was made in 1912 by the company of József Angster and Sons of Pécs. There are several tombs of the Lázár family in the church. In the sanctuary we find two tombstones, one with the unicorn of Gáspár János donor high ceilings and stone safari Kata her first husband (probably János Lázár). The ship can be seen commemorative plaque of Teleki Kata (raised by her husband in 1758, János Lázár) tombstone of Lázár György (high Imre's son in 1666).
